Braised Beef Chuck
Ingredients
- onion 1
- beef, chuck 1.5 lbs
- garlic 3 cloves
- tomatoes, dice canned 1
- beef stock 2-3 cups
- paprika
- coriandor
- cumin
Intro
This can be made with a lot of different cuts. It’s very easy to make and filling in the winter.
Directions
- Dice the beef chuck into half inch cubes. Mix the spices up and massage them into the beef.
- Heat a large pot on high. Add oil, and brown the beef.
- Meanwhile, dice the onions. Remove the beef from the pot once it is seared on all sides, and lower the heat. Cook the onions until translucent.
- Mince the garlic, add it into the pot, and cook for another minute.
- Add the can of diced tomatoes, and reduce until syrup-like.
- Return the beef to the pot, add the beef stock until it covers the beef, and simmer for 90-120 minutes.
